Synthetic Aspects and Characterization Needs in MOF Chemistry – from Discovery to Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Overcoming the challenges of phase discovery, synthesis optimization and scale‐up, characterization, and computational studies is essential to accelerate the large‐scale application of MOFs. Life‐cycle analyses and techno‐economic analyses need to be performed to realistically assess their potential for industrial relevance.

Sandpile groups and the coeulerian property for random directed graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We consider random directed graphs, and calculate the distribution of the cokernels of their laplacian, following the methods used by Wood. As a corollary, we show that the probability that a random digraph is coeulerian is asymptotically upper bounded by a constant around $0.43$.

Solid-liquid equilibria of some pharmaceutical compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Solubility is an important property which affects the release, transport and absorption of drugs. Solubility data involving new drug molecules and their precursors are frequently unavailable hampering drug formulation.

Fructooligosaccharide production by Penicillium expansum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) production by Penicillium expansum was evaluated. In a first stage, the best conditions for P. expansum growth and sporulation were established with potato/dextrose/ agar being the most suitable medium at between 22 and ...

Tribenzyl Organic Cations Carried Multidentate X‐Type Lewis Soft Base for High‐Performance Foldable Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study proposes tribenzyl organic cation carried multidentate X‐type Lewis soft base to enhance adhesion and passivate defects simultaneously, aiming to achieve foldable and efficient perovskite nanocrystal‐based light‐emitting diodes. The resulting pure red F‐PeLEDs exhibit a recorded high EQE of 16.2% and robust mechanical properties to endure ...

Production, purification, and characterization of recombinant rabies virus glycoprotein expressed in PichiaPink™ yeast

open access: yesBiotechnology Reports, 2022
The commonly used host for industrial production of recombinant proteins Pichia pastoris, has been used in this work to produce the rabies virus glycoprotein (RABV-G). To allow a constitutive expression and the secretion of the expressed recombinant RABV-

Normalization Before Shaking Toward Learning Symmetrically Distributed Representation Without Margin in Speech Emotion Recognition [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Regularization is crucial to the success of many practical deep learning models, in particular in a more often than not scenario where there are only a few to a moderate number of accessible training samples. In addition to weight decay, data augmentation and dropout, regularization based on multi-branch architectures, such as Shake-Shake ...

Improvement of engineered thermostable xylanase production via immobilization of recombinant escherichia coli onto graphene oxide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Escherichia coli is the preference host system for enzyme production by recombinant DNA technology. This was due to its promising trait that is suitable for genetically modify and the obtainability of a difference E. coli strains.
