Neohypoplasticity for Sand Coupled With the Generalized Intergranular Strain Concept

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 49, Issue 15, Page 3484-3508, 25 October 2025.
ABSTRACT This work presents the coupling of the recently revisited advanced hypoplastic constitutive sand model called neohypoplasticity (NHP) with the more recently introduced concept of the generalized intergranular strain (GIS) to account for soil behavior due to small strains. The latter is essential for the simulation of cyclic deformations.

Residual displacements‘ progresive analysis of the multisupported beam / Daugiaatramės sijos liekamųjų poslinkių progresinė analizė

open access: yesMokslas: Lietuvos Ateitis, 2014
This paper focuses on a shakedown behaviour of the ideally elasto-plastic beams system under variable repeated load. The mathematical models of the analysis problems are created using numerical methods, extremum energy principles and mathematic ...

Friction Characterization and Mitigation in Large‐Scale 6DOF Multi‐Axial Hybrid Simulation

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 54, Issue 9, Page 2283-2302, 25 July 2025.
ABSTRACT In the last few decades, hybrid simulation has become widely used for understanding the response of structural components and systems under extreme loading conditions. Large‐scale, three‐dimensional (3D), multi‐axial testing facilities with six degrees of freedom (6DOF) are versatile testing systems that can be used for testing a variety of ...

Kuhn-tucker conditions in shakedown problems

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 1996
An elastic perfectly plastic structure at shakedown to given cyclić loading is under consideration. The stress-strain field of dissipative system in general is related to the history of loading. And only in a particular case, i.e.

Thermo‐Electric Powered High Energy‐Density Hybrid Supercapattery for Driving Overall Water Splitting: A Novel Trifunctional Builder for Self‐Powered Hydrogen Production

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 25, June 26, 2025.
A novel, cost‐effective, and trifunctional self‐powered aqueous electrochemical energy device (SAEED) is successfully constructed by integrating asymmetric supercapattery (ASD) and water‐electrolyzer (WE) devices with a thermoelectric generator (TEG) utilizing the direct anchoring of Cu3Mo2O9 (CMD) nanostructures on Ni‐foam as an electrode prepared by ...

Limit and shakedown analysis of RC rod cross‐sections

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2009
This paper presents the calculation of the cross‐section of an RC rod element strength under the quasistatic low‐cyclic loadings, considering the non‐linear stress‐strain relations of materials without cracks.

Tracking Active Site Formation during Oxidative Activation of Copper‐Exchanged Zeolites for Methane‐to‐Methanol Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
The oxidative generation of Cu(II) active sites in Cu‐exchanged zeolites for the CH4‐to‐CH3OH conversion has been studied. Complementary in situ/operando spectroscopic techniques highlight that the formation rate and the stability of different Cu(II) species are governed by their structure and the zeolite topology.

The Shakedown of Circular Arches for Movable Loads

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 1975
The static approach is applied to method analysis of arches under movable loads. The shakedown load value cad be computed if the distribution of residual stresses is known, and limits of passive processes are evaluated in discrete numbers of the cross ...
