Tracking Active Site Formation during Oxidative Activation of Copper‐Exchanged Zeolites for Methane‐to‐Methanol Conversion

The oxidative generation of Cu(II) active sites in Cu‐exchanged zeolites for the CH4‐to‐CH3OH conversion has been studied. Complementary in situ/operando spectroscopic techniques highlight that the formation rate and the stability of different Cu(II) species are governed by their structure and the zeolite topology.
