Formation mechanism of the Lidang circular structure in the Guangxi Province
The Lidang circular structure in the center of the Guangxi Province is about 8 km in diameter. This structure appears as an abnormal shallow depression that has disturbed the rather harmonic regional joint systems.

Distantly related lineages of the enigmatic giant rosette plants of tropical alpine environments provide classical examples of convergent adaptation. For the giant senecios (Dendrosenecio), the endemic landmarks of the East African sky islands, it has ...

Alpine endemic spiders shed light on the origin and evolution of subterranean species [PDF]
We designed a comparative study to unravel the phylogeography of two Alpine endemic spiders characterized by a different degree of adaptation to subterranean life: Troglohyphantes vignai (Araneae, Linyphiidae) and Pimoa rupicola (Araneae, Pimoidae), the ...

Influence of benthic macrofauna community shifts on ecosystem functioning in shallow estuaries
We identify how ecosystem functioning in shallow estuaries is affected by shifts in benthic fauna communities. We use the shallow estuary, Odense Fjord, Denmark, as a case study to test our hypotheses that (1) shifts in benthic fauna composition and ...

Joint Vector Sensor Beam Steering and Passive Time Reversal for Underwater Acoustic Communications
This paper investigates how to advantageously combine acoustic vector sensor field components for underwater communications. The joint vector sensor beam steering and passive time-reversal receiver structure is proposed and compared against beam steering

Rethinking Charge Transport and Recombination in Donor‐Diluted Organic Solar Cells
Organic solar cells with 1–45% PM6 content in Y12 were studied to link structure and charge dynamics to performance. The conductivity follows a 3D percolation model without a sharp threshold. Donor dilution preserves the photogeneration yield, but limits the fill factor due to transport resistance losses.

A chemically defined PEG‐based microgel platform enables scalable, reproducible production of three‐dimensional microgel‐iPSC constructs in multiple sizes. The system is compatible with high‐throughput automation and supports human iPSC expansion and differentiation within a single construct, including directed differentiation into cardiac organoids ...

We report perovskite photodetectors with record specific detectivities exceeding 1013 Jones with a novel molecular design strategy to functionalize self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) with ferrocene (Fc) derivatives. Fc‐SAM‐based devices also exhibit strong operational stability and enable data transmission rates exceeding 1 Mbps in a LiFi system ...
