The term structure and the expectations hypothesis: a threshold model [PDF]

open access: yes
The expectations hypothesis implies that rational investors can predict future changes in interest rates by simply observing the yield spread. According to Mishkin (1990) the expectations theory can also be reformulated in terms of the ability of the ...

Short and long run tests of the expectations hypothesis: the Portuguese case [PDF]

open access: yes
The purpose of this paper is to test both short- and long-run implications of the (rational) expectations hypothesis of the term structure of interest rates using Portuguese data for the interbank money market.

MethyAnno: An Interpretable Automated Annotation Method Leveraging Multi‐Scale Information and Metric Learning Framework for scDNAm Data

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MethyAnno enables robust and interpretable annotation of single‐cell DNA methylation data by integrating multi‐scale epigenetic information, bidirectional cross‐attention, and prototype‐based metric learning. The framework resolves rare and novel cell types across datasets while revealing cell‐type‐specific epigenetic signatures associated with disease

Constraint-based RMRS construction from shallow grammars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We present a constraint-based syntax-semantics interface for the construction of RMRS (Robust Minimal Recursion Semantics) representations from shallow grammars. The architecture is designed to allow modular interfaces to existing shallow grammars of

MXene‐Based Room‐Temperature NO2 Gas Sensors: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents the first comprehensive meta‐analysis of MXene‐based NO2 sensors, decoding 32 study characteristics across 61 peer‐reviewed studies. By isolating materials chemistry as the primary performance driver over device‐level parameters, the authors establish a methodological blueprint and a predictive structure–function map to accelerate ...

Fifty years of seismicity of Mt. Vesuvius

open access: yesScientific Reports
The seismicity of Mt. Vesuvius over the last 50 years reveals a persistently low-energy regime, yet a detailed analysis uncovers patterns connected to different dynamics in the volcanic structure.

The golden apple snail Pomacea canaliculata shifts primary production from benthic to pelagic habitats in simulated shallow lake systems

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems
Biological invasions are among the most serious threats to ecosystems. The golden apple snail Pomacea canaliculata (Lamarck, 1822) is considered one of the top 100 worst invasive alien species in the world. These snails consume benthic primary producers,

Deposition Rate‐Controlled Functional Evolution of p‐Type Selenium‐Alloyed Tellurium–Tellurium Oxide Films for Thin‐Film Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the effects of thermal deposition rate on next‐generation p‐type amorphous oxide semiconductor SeTe–TeOx films. Deposition rate governs the chemical states, microstructure, and electrical characteristics of the films, resulting in tunable device properties.

Water‐Soluble Luminescent Trityl Radical for Fluorescence/Magnetic Resonance Dual‐Modal Imaging Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stable water‐soluble luminescent tris(2,4,6‐trichlorophenyl)methyl (TTM) radicals, TTM‐trisTP3B and TTM‐trisTP9B, were designed and successfully synthesized. They exhibited deep‐red emissions and high photostability in water. TTM‐trisTP3B exhibited dual functionality as a fluorescence imaging (FI) probe and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast ...

Design of a Novel Diamine Biosensor to Guide the Engineering of Escherichia coli for Cadaverine Overproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput screening platform was established by integrating an in vivo cadaverine biosensor with a fluorescence‐activated cell sorting (FACS) system. Biosensor‐driven specific exporter tuning, pathway optimization and genome‐wide target mining were conducted to maximize cadaverine production in Escherichia coli.
