Teacher‐makers and teacher‐breakers: (Re)defining how status and safety influence trajectories into and away from teaching

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, Volume 52, Issue 3, Page 1604-1628, June 2026.
Abstract This paper uses empirical data from a longitudinal qualitative study conducted with aspirant teachers in England to propose (re)definitions of the concepts of ‘status’ and ‘safety’ as a framework with which to understand and improve teacher recruitment.

Practice‐Based Evidence for Evidence‐Based Practice: Advancing Financial Planning Through Single‐Case Research

open access: yesFINANCIAL PLANNING REVIEW, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Financial planning has matured in theory and professional standards yet remains underdeveloped in intervention science—the rigorous testing of what financial planners do and its impact on client behavior. The purpose of this article is to describe and advocate for single‐case research (SCR) methods as a framework for building a cumulative ...

Shape Morphing Using PDE Surfaces

open access: yes, 2006
YesA methodology for shape morphing using partial differential equation (PDE) surfaces is presented in this work. The use of the PDE formulation shows how shape morphing can be based on a boundary-value approach by which intermediate shapes can be ...

A Modular, Accessible, and Low‐Cost Photoreactor with Precision Light and Temperature Control for Small‐Scale Reactions

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
This modular, low‐cost, light‐emitting diode (LED)‐based photoreactor facilitates modulation of light intensity, choice of wavelength, and thermal equilibration for photochemical reactions at a small scale with the potential to normalize research outputs across different laboratories.

Wildlife Roadkill in Chitwan, Nepal: Identifying Affected Species, Potential Drivers and Hotspots

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
A total of 618 cases involving 36 species of wild vertebrates were reported on sections of National Highways H01 and H05. Comparatively, species richness in road kills was higher on highway H01 (n = 343) than on H05 (n = 275). The road sections that cross between forests, forest edges, and residential areas consistently increase the number of ...

Elevation Filters Lizard Species Occurrences and Assemblages in Chitwan Annapurna Landscape, Nepal

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We investigated lizard species richness, assemblage patterns, and environmental drivers along the elevational gradient in the Chitwan Annapurna Landscape during 2018–2019. We recorded 23 lizard species and found that species richness varied significantly and non‐linearly with elevation, peaking at mid elevation. Species turnover dominated beta diversity,
