Comparison of Body Surface Area and Optimized Multivariate Allometric Model Approaches in Correcting Echocardiographic Aortic Dimensions for Physiological Variances: An International and Multicenter Study (CITED I)

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
Ao‐a, Ao‐s, and Ao‐asc were measured by echocardiography in 1820 gender‐ and age‐matched Chinese and Italian healthy adults. Correction equations based on an optimized multivariate allometric model (OMAM) and BSA approaches were constructed in group A and tested in group B at a ratio of 7:3.

Innovative Threshold‐Changeable Memory Based on Amorphous GeSbSeN

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, Volume 20, Issue 6, June 2026.
Threshold‐Changeable Memory (TCM) operation is demonstrated in amorphous GeSbSeN alloys through optimized polarity‐dependent programming. Sb and N compositional tuning, drift analysis, activation‐energy extraction, and temperature‐dependent measurements reveal how elemental composition governs memory window, threshold‐voltage stability, and programming

Lessons Learned on the Use of Wearables in Tracking Health Indicators Among Farmworkers in North Carolina Exposed to Extreme Heat Conditions

open access: yesPublic Health Challenges, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
We assessed how farmworkers fared wearing a wearable device over the summer months. The smartwatch adoption was high but not consistent over 90 days. The use of the related app was low. Challenges for use were inconsistent internet and the intersection of immigration policies and climate change.

Long‐Term Trends in the Calibration of the Cluster Fluxgate Magnetometer Instruments

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The calibration parameters of the Cluster mission's fluxgate magnetometer instruments have been determined and updated on a per‐orbit basis throughout the 24 years of the mission. Since there is no absolute field reference for vector measurements in‐flight, various spacecraft‐to‐spacecraft and instrument‐to‐instrument comparisons have been ...

From Prediction to Horizon: Clinicians' Negotiations of AI‐Driven Personal Prognoses in Clinical Practice

open access: yesSociology of Health &Illness, Volume 48, Issue 5, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Computational methods and tools under the label ‘artificial intelligence’ (AI) are increasingly promoted as solutions to the challenges of under‐resourced and understaffed healthcare systems, with predictive modelling positioned as a means to improve efficiency and individualise care.
