Adaptive Morphing Activation Function for Neural Networks
A novel morphing activation function is proposed, motivated by the wavelet theory and the use of wavelets as activation functions. Morphing refers to the gradual change of shape to mimic several apparently unrelated activation functions.

A Global Search Algorithm for Determining Water Influx in Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
The determination of water influx in naturally fractured reservoirs is always a significant and difficult task in gas reservoir engineering. To improve this situation, this paper presents a new global search algorithm to determine water influx in the ...

ABSTRACT Background Young adult childhood cancer survivors (YA‐CCS) have an increased risk of treatment‐related health complications throughout their lives. Lifelong survivorship care is recommended, yet many YA‐CCS experience disruptions in care during pediatric‐to‐adult transitions and do not receive recommended survivorship care.

Shape-Dependent Photomechanical Motions of Cyanostilbene-Based Molecular Crystals
Photomechanical dynamic molecular crystals provide a platform for the transition from photo energy to mechanical motions. However, the development of modulating multiple photomechanical modes through crystal size tuning is in the preliminary stage.

On Robustness to a Topological Perturbation in Fluid Mechanics
The robustness to topological perturbations in geometrical domains filled by a fluid flowing in Stokes–Darcy regime is considered. The cost functional is given by the energy dissipation in the fluid.

Identifying Patterns of Hospitalizations Among Childhood Cancer Survivors: A Population‐Based Study
ABSTRACT Background Childhood cancer survivors (CCSs) experience more hospitalizations than the general population. We aimed to identify distinct hospitalization patterns among Queensland CCSs and the associated characteristics. Methods Cases (aged ≤14 years) diagnosed between 1995 and 2019 while residents of Queensland were identified through the ...

Multi-objective shape optimization for maximizing stiffness in thermo-elastic fields
This paper presents a numerical solution to multi-objective shape optimization in order to achieve stiffness maximization in thermoelastic fields. Compliance evaluated by thermal deformation based on temperature distribution and by mechanical deformation

ABSTRACT Background Graft‐versus‐host disease (GvHD) remains one of the most significant complications of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Abatacept, a selective T‐cell costimulation modulator, is a relatively novel prophylactic agent, though pediatric data remain limited.

A T-shape diphosphinoborane palladium(0) complex
The reaction of CpPd(η3-C3H5) with the new diphosphinoborane ligand derivative (o-PCy2-C6H4)2BPh CyDPBPh affords the T-shape complex (CyDPBPh)Pd(0) 9, which was characterized by X-ray analysis.
