On weighted Shapley values [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Game Theory, 1987
Nonsymmetric Shapley values for coalitional form games with transferable utility are studied. The nonsymmetries are modeled through nonsymmetric weight systems defined on the players of the games. It is shown axiomatically that two families of solutions of this type are possible.

Some Properties of Interval Shapley Values: An Axiomatic Analysis

open access: yesGames, 2023
Interval games are an extension of cooperative coalitional games, in which players are assumed to face payoff uncertainty. Characteristic functions thus assign a closed interval instead of a real number.

The Shapley group value [PDF]

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
Following the original interpretation of the Shapley value (Shapley, 1953a) as a priori evaluation of the prospects of a player in a multi-person interaction situation, we propose a group value, which we call the Shapley group value, as a priori evaluation of the prospects of a group of players in a coalitional game when acting as a unit.

The Inverse Shapley Value Problem [PDF]

open access: yesGames and Economic Behavior, 2012
For $f$ a weighted voting scheme used by $n$ voters to choose between two candidates, the $n$ \emph{Shapley-Shubik Indices} (or {\em Shapley values}) of $f$ provide a measure of how much control each voter can exert over the overall outcome of the vote.

The Shapley value of phylogenetic trees [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Biology, 2007
References added, and a section (calculating the Shapley value of a tree game from its subtrees) was removed for length reasons (request of referee) and may appear in another paper. 16 pages; related work at http://www.math.hmc.edu/~su/papers.html. Journal of Mathematical Biology, to appear.

UNCERTAINTY OF THE SHAPLEY VALUE [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Game Theory Review, 2003
This paper defines a measure of bargaining uncertainty that quantifies Roth's concept of strategic risk. It shows how this measure can be used for checking reliability of the Shapley value in cost allocation problems and in the theory of competitive equilibrium.

Model independent feature attributions: Shapley values that uncover non-linear dependencies [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ Computer Science, 2021
Shapley values have become increasingly popular in the machine learning literature, thanks to their attractive axiomatisation, flexibility, and uniqueness in satisfying certain notions of ‘fairness’. The flexibility arises from the myriad potential forms

ON MERGE PROPERTIES OF THE SHAPLEY VALUE [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Game Theory Review, 2000
Given a transferable utility game, where the players merge into subgroups described by a partition, we address the following question: under which conditions on the characteristic function and partition, merging is beneficial if the Shapley value is applied. Our results can be positioned among the search for well-defined classes of games where merging
