Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Values shared by meromorphic functions and their derivatives
In this paper we deal with the problem of uniqueness of meromorphic functions as well as their power which share a small function with their derivatives and obtain some results which improve and generalize the recent results due to Zhang and Yang (2009 ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Not So SuperDense Coding - Deterministic Dense Coding with Partially Entangled States [PDF]
The utilization of a $d$-level partially entangled state, shared by two parties wishing to communicate classical information without errors over a noiseless quantum channel, is discussed.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Some results on entire functions that share one value with their difference operators
In this paper, we give some results on entire functions that share one value with their difference operators. In particular, we prove the following result, which can be regarded as a difference analogue of a result of J.P. Wang and H.X. Yi (J. Math. Anal.

Some unity results on entire functions and their difference operators related to 4 CM theorem
This paper is to consider the unity results on entire functions sharing two values with their difference operators and to prove some results related to 4 CM theorem. The main result reads as follows: Let f ( z ) $f(z)$ be a nonconstant entire function of
