Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Online Edge Coloring: Sharp Thresholds
Vizing's theorem guarantees that every graph with maximum degree $Δ$ admits an edge coloring using $Δ+ 1$ colors. In online settings - where edges arrive one at a time and must be colored immediately - a simple greedy algorithm uses at most $2Δ- 1$ colors.

Sharp thresholds for hypergraph regressive Ramsey numbers
The authors determine the growth-rate of the regressive Ramsey numbers for hypergraphs, with dependence on the growth-rate of the parameter function \(f\). These growth-rates are measured via the the fast-growing Hardy functions \(F_\alpha\) indexed by towers of exponentiation in base \(\omega\). Their results give a sharp classfication for hypergraphs

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

Contextual Stochastic Block Model: Sharp Thresholds and Contiguity
We study community detection in the contextual stochastic block model arXiv:1807.09596 [cs.SI], arXiv:1607.02675 [stat.ME]. In arXiv:1807.09596 [cs.SI], the second author studied this problem in the setting of sparse graphs with high-dimensional node-covariates.

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in patients with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), and compare it with rituximab. Methods We conducted a single–center, observational study including 22 MOGAD patients treated with ofatumumab and 21 treated with rituximab.

A Sharp Threshold for a Random Version of Sperner's Theorem
ABSTRACTThe Boolean lattice consists of all subsets of partially ordered under the containment relation. Sperner's Theorem states that the largest antichain of the Boolean lattice is given by a middle layer: the collection of all sets of size , or also, if is odd, the collection of all sets of size .

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.
