Reversible Rail Shear Apparatus Applied to the Study of Woven Laminate Shear Behavior [PDF]
The multitude of in-plane shear tests existing in the literature seems to demonstrate the complexity of developing a test adapted to all experimental works.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Rebar corrosion is the principal factor affecting the service performance of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. Corrosion reduces the effective area of rebars as well as performance, and weakens the pin bolt effect of rebar on concrete.

Interface Shear Behavior of UHPC
To date, very little research has been conducted on the interface shear behavior of UHPC-class materials. The structural concrete research group at FHWA’s Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center is currently developing an experimental program to evaluate the interface shear behavior of this class of materials.

Analysis of Treacher Collins syndrome 4‐associated mutations in Schizosaccharomyces pombe
Fission yeast models carrying Treacher Collins syndrome type 4‐associated mutations reveal that impaired processivity of RNA polymerase I leads to defective rRNA transcription. This study highlights the essential role of a conserved arginine residue in Pol I elongation and provides mechanistic insight into the pathogenesis of ribosomopathies.

Shear localization in a model glass
Using molecular dynamics simulations, we show that a simple model of a glassy material exhibits the shear localization phenomenon observed in many complex fluids. At low shear rates, the system separates into a fluidized shear-band and an unsheared part.

Variably Protease‐Sensitive Prionopathy: Two New Cases With Motor Neuron‐Dementia Syndrome
ABSTRACT We describe two patients with variably protease‐sensitive prionopathy (VPSPr) who developed progressive upper motor neuron symptoms, insomnia, behavioral and cognitive decline, compatible with primary lateral sclerosis associated with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
