Experimental observation of shear thickening oscillation
We report experimental observation of the shear thickening oscillation, i.e. the spontaneous macroscopic oscillation in the shear flow of severe shear thickening fluid.

Non-linear oscillatory rheological properties of a generic continuum foam model: comparison with experiments and shear-banding predictions [PDF]
The occurence of shear bands in a complex fluid is generally understood as resulting from a structural evolution of the material under shear, which leads (from a theoretical perspective) to a non-monotonic stationnary flow curve related to the ...

Dynamics of a trapped Brownian particle in shear flows
The Brownian motion of a particle in a harmonic potential, which is simultaneously exposed either to a linear shear flow or to a plane Poiseuille flow is investigated.

Observations of Reduced Electron Gyroscale Fluctuations in National Spherical Torus Experiment H-Mode Plasmas with Large E X B Flow Shear [PDF]
Electron gyroscale fluctuation measurements in National Spherical Torus Experiment H-mode plasmas with large toroidal rotation reveal fluctuations consistent with electron temperature gradient (ETG) turbulence.

Numerical Simulations of Red-Blood Cells in Fluid Flow: A Discrete Multiphysics Study
In this paper, we present a methodological study of modelling red blood cells (RBCs) in shear-induced flows based on the discrete multiphysics (DMP) approach.

Turbulent transport and dynamo in sheared MHD turbulence with a non-uniform magnetic field [PDF]
We investigate three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics turbulence in the presence of velocity and magnetic shear (i.e., with both a large-scale shear flow and a nonuniform magnetic field).

Crossover between Equilibrium and Shear-controlled Dynamics in Sheared Liquids
We present a numerical simulation study of a simple monatomic Lennard-Jones liquid under shear flow, as a function of both temperature and shear rate.

Analytical theory of forced rotating sheared turbulence: The perpendicular case [PDF]
Rotation and shear flows are ubiquitous features of many astrophysical and geophysical bodies. To understand their origin and effect on turbulent transport in these systems, we consider a forced turbulence and investigate the combined effect of rotation ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
