Parameter Sensitivity of Shallow-Bias Tunnel with a Clear Distance Located in Rock

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2018
In order to obtain the seismic internal force response laws of a shallow-bias tunnel with a small clear distance, the reliability of the numerical simulation is verified by the shaking table model test.

Semi-Empirical Time-Dependent Parameter of Shear Strength for Traction Force between Deep-Sea Sediment and Tracked Miner

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Based on our direct shear creep experiment and the direct shear rheological constitutive model, a semi-empirical time-dependent parameter of the shear strength is obtained by Mohr–Coulomb shear strength theory, and different time-dependent traction force

Characterization and performance analysis of a shear thickening fluid damper

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2019
Shear thickening fluid is a smart material with rheological properties that can be rapidly varied by excitation changes. To fully explore the advantages of using shear thickening fluid in various devices, a phenomenological model for simulating complex ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Experimental study on the radial and axial shear characteristics of silage corn stalk

open access: yesSiliao yanjiu, 2021
The experiment studied the shear characteristics of silage corn stalks and provided necessary engineering technical parameters for optimizing the design of the shredding and rubbing device. A three-factor and three-level orthogonal test was designed, and

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.
