3D Printing of Highly Dense and Translucent Zirconia Parts for Dental Applications: Effect of Filament Overlapping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study formulated a 5Y‐PSZ zirconia paste for extrusion‐based additive manufacturing via direct ink writing, producing dense ceramic structures for dental applications. A colloidal approach with 47 vol% nanometric powder and tailored additives optimized rheology and printability.

Effect of shear span-to-depth ratio on shear strength components of RC beams

Engineering Structures, 2018
The additive model of shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC) members, i.e. shear strength (V) is equal to the sum of the contribution from concrete (Vc) and that from transverse reinforcement (Vs), has been widely accepted in the literature and ...

Direct shear tests of shear strength of soils reinforced by geomats and plant roots

Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 2019
To investigate the shear strength of root–geomat reinforced soil (RMS), direct shear tests were conducted in laboratory on soil samples cultivated with three–dimensional geomats and Bermuda grass.
