Many properties of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) are superior to those of normal strength concrete (NSC) - including high strength, toughness, and durability, which makes UHPC a promising repair material for damaged NSC structures.

Analysis of Shear Strength of Wood
Key Engineering Materials, 2011This paper presents the analysis of different types of shear strength of wood which can differ very much due to its structure and different orientations of applied load. These combinations of wood structure and load orientations lead to different modes of fracture. The main aim of the paper is to find a relation among all types of shear strength of the

Shear Bond Strength Of Cement To Zirconia
Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology, 2009This study investigated the shear bond strength (SBS) of various cements to zirconia ceramic.CoCr-cylinders were bonded to zirconia plates (20 mm × 10 mm × 2 mm; n = 8 per group) using four self-adhesive resin cements (one capsule, three hand-mixed) and four resin cements, partly in combination with a tribochemical/silane treatment.

Shear Strength of High-Strength Bolts
Journal of the Structural Division, 1965Double shear tests of single 7/8-in. and 1-in. high-strength bolts are reported. Altogether, ninety-six A325 bolts were tested in A7 steel jigs or in A440 steel jigs. Eighty-four A354BC, A354BD, and A490 bolts were tested in jigs made of A440 or constructional alloy steel.

A practical method for estimating the shear strength of rockfill is developed. The peak drained friction angle π(prime) is found to be closely related to that of rock joints. In both cases the values of π(prime) are dependent on sample size, stress level, surface roughness, and on the uniaxial compression strength of the rock.

Composites Part B: Engineering, 2019
In order to study the shear behavior of high strength bolt connections in a prefabricated steel-concrete composite beam, eleven push-out specimens with different parameters were tested. In the tests, two failure modes of the specimens were observed.
