Tests in Sheep of Attenuated Sheep Pox Vaccines

Research in Veterinary Science, 1973
Summary Sheep pox virus (SPV) attenuated by continuous passage in either lamb kidney (LK) or calf kidney (CK) cells was tested for immunizing properties in sheep. A mixture of the 491th and 50th LK passage of the virus, although partially attenuated, was too virulent for general use as a vaccine.
