This work proposes the synthesis of carbon‐based nanostructured materials obtained using ZnO as both nanos‐ template and catalysts simultaneously. During the synthesis, GO was used as a stabiliser, preventing the collapse of the 3D structure and improving its properties in terms of capacitance and surface area.

EXPERIMENTS ARE DESCRIBED WITH MODEL WALLS IN LOOSE SAND WHERE THE WALLS FAILED IN BENDING OR PENETRATION. SHEET-PILE WALLS MAY BE DESIGNED TO A CERTAIN FACTOR OF SAFETY ON EITHER THE FIRST YIELD POINT OR THE ULTIMATE STRENGTH OF THE ANCHORAGE, WALL SECTION, AND EARTH RESISTANCE BENEATH THE DREDGE LEVEL.

Performance of Sheet Pile Wall in Peat
Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, 2008To study the performance of sheet pile wall in peat during roadway construction, a long-term instrumentation program was conducted over a period of two years, measuring total lateral earth pressures, sheet pile deflections, soil movements, and water table level variances during construction.

Failure of anchored sheet pile walls
International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences & Geomechanics Abstracts, 1976Several failures of anchored sheet pile walls have occurred in Sweden. Most of these have been caused by insufficient stability or by frost action. Large movements have been observed when piles were driven close to a wall and the driving depth exceeded that of the sheet piles due to the high excess pore pressures which develop during the driving in ...
