Cyclic Thermal Shock‐Induced Permeability Enhancement in Tight Lithologies: Microstructural Controls and Elastic‐Wave Monitoring

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 13, 16 July 2026.
Abstract Enhanced geothermal systems rely on increasing permeability and pore surface area in rock. Cyclic thermal shocking can achieve both by inducing thermal cracks through repeated rapid cooling. Laboratory experiments subjected micritic limestone, granodiorite, and trachybasalt to up to 10 thermal shock cycles, while tracking crack evolution ...

ALD Reactivity‐Driven 2DEG‐Like Interfacial Conduction in Nanolaminate InGaZnO Transistors toward High‐Mobility and Stable Oxide Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 3, 4 February 2026.
By directly comparing PEALD (P‐IGZO) and thermal‐ALD (T‐IGZO), we show that oxidant reactivity governs atomically ordered InOx–(Ga, Zn)O nanolaminates and a robust 2DEG in amorphous IGZO. PEALD with oxygen plasma forms sharper, chemically distinct interfaces and higher InOx connectivity, achieving ∼90 cm2 V−1 s−1 mobility and superior BTI stability ...

Dual Role Executives and Corporate Membership of Emission Trading Schemes: The Role of Board Structure

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 35, Issue 2, Page 2122-2142, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This study examines the impact of CEO duality on the likelihood of corporate participation in an emissions trading scheme. The results indicate that firms led by dual‐role executives are less likely to participate in emissions trading schemes.

The Political Economy of Sunni-Shi’ah Conflict in Sampang Madura

open access: yesAl-Jami'ah: Journal of Islamic Studies, 2015
Many overlooked the fact that politico-economic factors played an important role behind the 2011 and 2012 Sunni-Shi’ah conflict in Sampang Madura. Some, however, argue that the Sunni-Shi’ah conflict was merely driven by theological factors.

High‐Performance 2D C‐Axis‐Aligned Crystalline Oxide Semiconductor Heterostructure Transistors via Aqueous Solution Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 12, August 6, 2025.
2D ultrathin (3.9 nm) c‐axis‐aligned In₂O₃/InSmO heterostructure transistors are fabricated via aqueous solution deposition. The heterostructure transistors achieve high mobility (38.6 cm2 V⁻¹ s⁻¹) and stability (ΔVth < 1 V under bias stress), attributed to quasi‐2D electron gas formation and defect passivation.
