Loop-shield-loop shielding effectiveness

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1999
The 1967 formulation by Moser of the shielding effectiveness of a metal sheet on a small loop is extended to loop-to-loop coupling. The integration of flux through the receiving loop simply adds another J/sub 0/(ka) Bessel function to the Moser integrands; the result is a monotonic variation of coupling with loop spacing, unlike the original results.

Simulation of the shielding clothing Shielding Effectiveness

2013 Cross Strait Quad-Regional Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference, 2013
Shielding clothing is widely used in our life to protect people from the hazard of the electromagnetic energy. Shielding Effectiveness(SE) is used to evaluate the performance of the shielding clothing. In this paper simulate software COSMOL is used to simulate the SE of the shielding clothing.

Shielding effectiveness of 'pigtail' connections

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1987
The shielding effectiveness of a 'pigtail' connection between a coaxial transmission line and a ground plane is treated rigorously by the method of moments, as a function of the type and number of pigtails and frequency. Numerical results show that the type of pigtail connection is crucial with regard to radiation and shielding effectiveness, even ...

The effect of shaking on magnetic shields

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1980
The increase of the shielding factor due to shaking was measured in a scale model for a magnetically shielded room. The increase was found to be 7 dB for a single-layer square cylinder biased by the Earth's magnetic field. The shielding factor of a large-volume three-layer Mumetal® room was estimated to increase by a factor of 30, thus confirming the ...

Frequency Dependence of Shielding Effectiveness of Multilayered Magnetic Shields

Sixteenth International Wrocław Symposium and Exhibition, Electromagnetic Compatibility 2002, 2002
An analysis of magnetic shielding effectiveness of multilayered structures versus frequency is presented. It is shown that the quasistatic field approximation is accurate until several MHz depending on the source-to-observation-point distance, characteristic dimensions of the source, and physical and geometrical properties of layers.

Effect of Absorbing Coating on Shielding Effectiveness of Electromagnetic Shielding Fabric

2018 Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS-Toyama), 2018
In order to get better effects of electromagnetic protection, the study on the overall shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding fabric by absorbing wave coating is paid more and more attention [1]. But up to now, the influence of different content and kinds of absorbing coating on the shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding ...

Shielding effect in protein folding

Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modelling, 2018
One of the most important interactions responsible for protein folding and stability are hydrogen bonds between peptide groups. There is a constant competition between the water molecules and peptide groups in a hydrogen bond formation. Also side-chains take part in this process by reducing hydration of peptide group (shielding effect) that promotes ...

Shielding Effectiveness of a Metamaterial Slab

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2007
A study of the shielding properties of a metamaterial slab is presented. The metamaterial nature of the slab arises from the negative values of its effective scalar dielectric permittivity in the considered low- frequency region of operation. Such an effective permittivity is the result of a homogenization process of an actual periodic structure which ...

Shielding Effectiveness of Braided-Wire Shields

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1975
An analysis of the shielding effectiveness of braidedwire shields is made using the parameters of the woven wire and the theory of electromagnetic coupling through small irises. The coupling through the rhombic-shaped holes in the braid is approximated by using the electric and magnetic polarizabilities of elliptical holes of the same width and length ...

Effect of needle loops on shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding knitted fabrics

Textile Research Journal, 2022
Knitted electromagnetic shielding fabric is widely used for its excellent extensibility and permeability. However, the influence law and mechanism of the effect of needle loops on the shielding effectiveness of fabrics is still unclear. In this paper, we designed five kinds of knitted fabrics. They are plain single jersey, ‘1 × 1’ rib knitted fabric, ‘
