Shielding Effectiveness Measurements for Ferromagnetic Shields

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2009
This paper proposes a new way to measure the shielding effectiveness of ferromagnetic shields. The procedure combines an experimental characterization of the shielding material and numerical simulations. In a first case, magnetic hysteresis is reduced to a series of equivalent B -H linear relations through an optimization procedure that is applied to a

On the shielding effectiveness calculation

Computing, 2013
Numerical analysis of the effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding is performed. Its first objective is to propose a new approach to the shielding effectiveness theory based on a high-frequency numerical model that uses integral characteristics in contrast with the standard model.

On the effectiveness of the metamorphic shield

Proceedings of the Fourth European Conference on Software Architecture: Companion Volume, 2010
In this paper we determine analytically the effectiveness of dynamic artificial diversity, i.e., artificial diversity in which the subject of the diversity is re-randomized periodically and mechanically. We refer to a mechanism that implements dynamic diversity as a Metamorphic Shield since this mechanism applies metamorphosis to the system's attack ...

Shielding effect of superconducting magnetically shielded room

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1997
A Superconducting Magnetically Shielded Room (SMSR) has been developed. Superconducting panels are soldered to form a shielding wall of which the soldered connections have normal conduction. Therefore, the Shielding Factor (SF) of the SMSR degrades especially at low frequency, which is different from a superconducting shielded room without a normal ...

Loop-shield-loop shielding effectiveness

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1999
The 1967 formulation by Moser of the shielding effectiveness of a metal sheet on a small loop is extended to loop-to-loop coupling. The integration of flux through the receiving loop simply adds another J/sub 0/(ka) Bessel function to the Moser integrands; the result is a monotonic variation of coupling with loop spacing, unlike the original results.

Simulation of the shielding clothing Shielding Effectiveness

2013 Cross Strait Quad-Regional Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference, 2013
Shielding clothing is widely used in our life to protect people from the hazard of the electromagnetic energy. Shielding Effectiveness(SE) is used to evaluate the performance of the shielding clothing. In this paper simulate software COSMOL is used to simulate the SE of the shielding clothing.

Shielding effectiveness of 'pigtail' connections

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1987
The shielding effectiveness of a 'pigtail' connection between a coaxial transmission line and a ground plane is treated rigorously by the method of moments, as a function of the type and number of pigtails and frequency. Numerical results show that the type of pigtail connection is crucial with regard to radiation and shielding effectiveness, even ...

The effect of shaking on magnetic shields

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1980
The increase of the shielding factor due to shaking was measured in a scale model for a magnetically shielded room. The increase was found to be 7 dB for a single-layer square cylinder biased by the Earth's magnetic field. The shielding factor of a large-volume three-layer Mumetal® room was estimated to increase by a factor of 30, thus confirming the ...

Effect of Absorbing Coating on Shielding Effectiveness of Electromagnetic Shielding Fabric

2018 Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS-Toyama), 2018
In order to get better effects of electromagnetic protection, the study on the overall shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding fabric by absorbing wave coating is paid more and more attention [1]. But up to now, the influence of different content and kinds of absorbing coating on the shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding ...
