ABSTRACT Quantitative and perceptual studies have been used to define and model sustainable tourist behaviour in past years, but few studies have undertaken qualitative research of actual behaviour to delve deeper into understanding the different classifications of such behaviour. This research employed a three‐phase design, comprising a pretrip survey,

A Machine Learning Predictive Model for Ship Fuel Consumption
Water navigation is crucial for the movement of people and goods in many locations, including the Amazon region. It is essential for the flow of inputs and outputs, and for certain Amazon cities, boat access is the only option. Fuel consumption accounts for over 25% of a vessel’s total operational costs.

Optimizing Ship Speed to Minimize Total Fuel Consumption with Multiple Time Windows [PDF]
We study the ship speed optimization problem with the objective of minimizing the total fuel consumption. We consider multiple time windows for each port call as constraints and formulate the problem as a nonlinear mixed integer program. We derive intrinsic properties of the problem and develop an exact algorithm based on the properties.

Chain‐Level Business Model Patterns for the Green Logistics Transition
ABSTRACT Sustainability transitions in freight transport increasingly depend on coordinated changes across entire logistics networks, not just within individual firms. This study investigates how business‐model change unfolds across a multimodal European logistics chain engaged in reducing transport‐related emissions.
