A Hybrid Particle-Grid Scheme for Computing Hydroelastic Behaviors Caused by Slamming [PDF]
Capable and accurate predictions of some effects of strongly nonlinear interaction wave-ship associated with hydroelastic\ud behaviors are very required for simulation tool in naval architect and ocean engineering. It can guarantee ship safety at the sea

Distributed motion sensing on ships
A current trend is autonomous transport of goods and people in the air, at land, and at sea. For safe and reliable operations, autonomous systems require sensors that replace, or even exceed, the senses of a human operator. A system of spatially distributed inertial measurement units (IMUs) along the hull of a vessel, which allows sensing of local ...

Berth operability estimation related to ship motion
The method of exposed berth workability estimation based on moored ship criteria for safe working and mooring is presented. The solution methodology consists of modelling a ship as panel model used to calculate the hydrodynamic loads and responses from potential theory. The mooring lines are modelled by ship to ground spring elements.
