[Isolation and determination of anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2009
To isolate and identify the anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola.Fungus strains were isolated from mature ascospores and stroma. They were identified by means of morphological identification including colony and microscope characteristic, the molecular identification was done by 5.8S-ITS rDNA.The strains GZDXIFR-171 and GZDXIFR-181 were isolated and ...

Enhanced Production of Hypocrellin A in Submerged Cultures of Shiraia bambusicola by Red Light

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 2018
AbstractHypocrellin A (HA), a promising photosensitizer for anticancer photodynamic therapy (PDT), is a fungal perylenequinone pigment from the fruiting body of Shiraia bambusicola, a traditional Chinese medicine for treating skin diseases. The mycelial cultures are becoming a biotechnological alternative for HA production.

[Studies on the chemical constituents of Shiraia bambusicola].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2003
To study the chemical constituents of Shiraia bambusicola.Column chromatography with silica gel was employed for the isolation and purification of constituents. The structures were elucidated by means of chemical and spectroscopic data.Seven compounds were obtained and identified as hypocrellin A (I), hypocrellin B (II), hypocrellin C (III), hypomycin ...

Antiangiogenic activity of 11,11′-dideoxyverticillin, a natural product isolated from the fungus Shiraia bambusicola

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2005
The fungus Shiraia bambusicola yields the phytochemical 11,11'-dideoxyverticillin, which has been shown to possess potent anticancer activity both in vitro and in vivo. In this study, we reveal that 11,11'-dideoxyverticillin has anti-angiogenic activities and explore the potential mechanisms for this effect.

[Studies on liquid fermentation of anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2006
A asexuae strain producing effective component hypocrellin was isolated from the hypha of Shiraia bambusicola sporo-carp. By liquid-state fermentation and orthogonal teat with shake flask culture, the optimum medium component and culture conditions were: saccharose 20 g/L, yeast extract 8 g/L, maize extract 2 g/L, pH 6.0, culture broth quantity 50/250 ...

Adding bamboo charcoal powder to Shiraia bambusicola preculture improves hypocrellin A production

Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy, 2019
Abstract Hypocrellin A (HA), a photodynamic therapy (PDT) photosensitizer for cancers and viruses, is a perylenequinone pigment from the fruiting bodies of a bamboo pathogenic Shiraia bambusicola. Due to the limitation of the supply of wild Shiraia fruiting bodies and the complex chemosynthesis of HA, mycelium culture is becoming a biotechnological ...

Structure and immunoregulatory activity of β-d-galactofuranose-containing polysaccharides from the medicinal fungus Shiraia bambusicola

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2019
To explore bioactive polysaccharides from medicinal fungi, a homogeneous heteropolysaccharide SB1-1 was extracted from the stroma of Shiraia bambusicola by enzyme assisted extraction, ethanol precipitation, anion-exchange and size-exclusion chromatographies.
