Development of an unsteady shock-fitting technique for unstructured grids

open access: yes, 2017
A novel, unstructured, shock-fitting algorithm capable of simulating unsteady flows has recently being developed. The capabilities of this novel unstructured shock-fitting technique are here tested by reference to the inviscid interaction between a ...

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

On dispersion-controlled principles for non-oscillatory shock-capturing schemes

open access: yes, 2004
The role of dispersions in the numerical solutions of hydrodynamic equation systems has been realized for long time. It is only during the last two decades that extensive studies on the dispersion-controlled dissipative (DCD) schemes were reported.

A Modified Characteristic-Compression Embedded Discontinuity Indicator Based on Artificial Intelligence

open access: yes气体物理
The high-order and high-resolution numerical schemes are one of the most effective computational methods for simulating high-speed complex flows with shock waves, and the detection of discontinuous structures such as shock waves is one of the key ...

Chemical State Detection and Charge Transfer in Complex Oxide Heterostructures via In Situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy resolves oxidation states with high fidelity during the pulsed laser deposition of multivalent perovskite manganate and vanadate heterostructures. The chemical‐state signature is carried by the valence‐electron population of the transition‐metal cation, read out through the relative intensities of Auger fine ...

Shock-Capturing Particle Hydrodynamics with Reproducing Kernels

open access: yesComputer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences
We present and explore a new shock-capturing particle hydrodynamics approach. Our starting point is a commonly used discretization of smoothed particle hydrodynamics. We enhance this discretization with Roe's approximate Riemann solver, we identify its dissipative terms, and in these terms, we use slope-limited linear reconstruction.

Transparent Deformable Thin Film Electric Heater for Stable and Accurate Control of High Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Au/GaOx‐based transparent heaters combine high optical transmittance and low sheet resistance with exceptional thermal stability up to 521°C for over 6 h. The interfacial GaOx layer suppresses dewetting of Au and enhances adhesion, ensuring mechanical robustness during deformation and reliability for real‐world applications including grilling ...
