Fevogrit, a polyherbal medicine, mitigates endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide)‐induced fever in Wistar rats by regulating pro‐inflammatory cytokine levels

Fevogrit, an Ayurvedic medicine indicated for the management of fever, was evaluated for its pharmacological effects in rat model of endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide)‐induced high body temperature. Ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography analysis revealed the presence of bioactive phytometabolites in Fevogrit.

Metformin’s pleomorphic effects may be beneficial in sepsis and septic shock, but its impact remains controversial. Our study is the first to show a significant association between metformin and lactate kinetics in sepsis or septic shock, with a larger decrease in lactate after admission.
