BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

There has been a rapid increase in literature on resilience of social systems, which encampuses interventions to shocks and disasters of multiple dimensions of such systems. This follows the inclusion of resilience building in policy frameworks at global,

To protect workers, it is necessary to characterize the noise and vibration emissions value of nailers. Standardized characterization methods exist but require three trained human operators, which leads to a dispersion in the results and a difficult ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Shock Equations and Jump Conditions for the 2D Adjoint Euler Equations
This paper considers the formulation of the adjoint problem in two dimensions when there are shocks in the flow solution. For typical cost functions, the adjoint variables are continuous at shocks, wherein they have to obey an internal boundary condition,

Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

I prezzi delle materie prime non petrolifere: comportamento ciclico e capacita informativa*
The work proposes a survey of the empirical factors of the prices of non-oil commodities and the short-term determinants of their performance. In addition, it seeks to examine to what degree sudden changes of direction in the prices of commodities have ...

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

The Impact of Fiscal Shocks on the Irish Economy [PDF]
We study the short-run effects of shocks to government spending on Ireland’s output and its real exchange rate. We show that the impact of government spending shocks critically depend on the nature of the fiscal innovation. Our main finding is that there
