On numerical solution of fractional order boundary value problem with shooting method

open access: yes, 2017
In this study the shooting method is used for calculation of the second order boundary value problem with fractional order. This method is found to be useful for the application. The accuracy of the shooting method is tested.

Multiple Solutions of Singular Perturbation Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Under certain conditions on g(x, u) we establish the existence and asymptotic behavior for small ε > 0 of multiple asymptotic solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problem εu" + u’ - g(x,u) = 0, 0 < x < 1, u’(0) - au(0)= A ≥ 0, a > 0, u’(1) + bu(

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Application of shooting method on MHD thermally stratified mixed convection flow of non-Newtonian fluid over an inclined stretching cylinder

open access: yes, 2017
An analysis is made to examine the magnetohydrodynamic mixed convection boundary layer flow of Eyring-Powell fluid brought by an inclined stretching cylinder. Flow field analysis is accounted by thermal stratification phenomena.

Screening Routine Clinical Notes for Epilepsy Surgery Candidates Using Large Language Models

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy surgery is severely underutilized despite proven efficacy, with substantial under‐referral of eligible patients in routine clinical practice. This study evaluated the potential role of large language models (LLMs) as decision‐support tools for screening unstructured clinical notes to identify epilepsy surgery candidates and ...

The influence of playing training methods on shooting ability

open access: yesJurnal Patriot
Problems: the weak shooting ability of SSB Putra Wijaya West Sumatra players, it can be seen that when athletes shoot, there are still many players who often lose the moment when taking a kick, so that the kick is not optimal.

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...
