Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

Urological Manifestations of Stevens–Johnson Syndrome/Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis and Their Management: A Scoping Review

open access: yesSociété Internationale d’Urologie Journal
Background/Objectives: Stevens–Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are rare, potentially fatal immunological conditions that affect cutaneous and mucosal surfaces and have the potential to involve the genitourinary tract.

Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Leaf‐Inspired Eutectic Skin With Extreme Fatigue Resistance and Robust Wet Adhesion for Amphibious Epidermal Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by Acorus calamus leaves, a heterogeneous eutectic skin integrates an aligned fibrous network within a hydrophobic eutectogel matrix. This hierarchical architecture triggers strain‐induced crystallization to achieve exceptional mechanical toughness and durable wet adhesion.

Spatio-temporal distribution of the fish Synodontis schall (Teleostei: Mochokidae) in Asa lake, Ilorin, Nigeria

open access: yesRevista de Biología Tropical, 1999
Spatio-temporal distribution of Synodontis schall in Asa lake was studied for 24 months (March 1991 to February 1993). Distribution of individual was: 28.40 % (surface), 35.60 % (shore), and 36.0 % (bottom).

Interfacial Electronic Restructuring in MAPbBr3/rGO Hybrids Enabling Improved Charge Extraction for Efficient Photodetection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
MAPbBr3/rGO hybrids exhibit interfacial electronic restructuring that enhances charge extraction in photodetectors. The incorporation of rGO modifies the surface chemical environment, enhances electron‐dominated transport, and suppresses performance degradation, resulting in higher responsivity, detectivity, and photostability than in pristine MAPbBr3 ...

Additive‐Manufactured, Multifunctional Bioreactor Technology for Dynamic Culture of 3D Bioprinted Tissue Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

Diagnosis and treatment of MYH9-RD in an Australasian cohort with thrombocytopenia

open access: yesPlatelets, 2018
MYH9-related disorders (MYH9-RDs) caused by mutation of the MYH9 gene which encodes non-muscle myosin heavy-chain-IIA (NMMHC-IIA), an important motor protein in hemopoietic cells, are the most commonly encountered cause of inherited macrothrombocytopenia.
