Auto‐Routing Fluidic Printed Circuit Boards

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work introduces (STREAM) software tool for routing efficiently advanced macrofluidics, an open‐source software tool for automating the design of 3D‐printable fluidic circuit boards. STREAM streamlines tube routing and layout, enabling the rapid fabrication of fluidic networks for soft robotics, lab‐on‐a‐chip devices, microfluidics, and biohybrid ...

3423 Poorer Outcomes Among Septic Patients with Protein Energy Malnutrition

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Translational Science, 2019
OBJECTIVES/SPECIFIC AIMS: Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM) could compromise the body’s defense systems resulting in sepsis, which further depletes calorie stores. Among hospitalized patients, we investigate 1) the relationship between PEM and sepsis, 2)

Assessing Short-range Shore-to-Shore (S2S) and Shore-to-Vessel (S2V) WiFi Communications

open access: yesComputer Networks
Wireless communications increasingly enable ubiquitous connectivity for a large number of nodes, applications and scenarios. One of the less explored scenarios are aquatic ecosystems, specially when enabled by near-shore and short-range communications.

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.

Contrast-Enhanced Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Accurately Differentiates Ischemic from Non-Ischemic Etiologies in Newly Diagnosed Cardiomyopathy

open access: yesClinical Medicine Insights: Cardiology, 2008
Objective Patients with newly diagnosed cardiomyopathy frequently undergo coronary angiography to exclude significant coronary artery disease (CAD). Contrast-enhanced cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CE-CMR) can detect myocardial scar in-vivo, and has

The role of mass-movement in shore platform development along the Gisborne coastline, New Zealand

open access: yes, 1968
Tidal shore platforms form a conspicuous part of the coastal scenery north of Gisborne, New Zealand. Some of these platforms are being extended landward under present-day conditions. Present widening results primarily from cliff-retreat by mass-movement.
