Analysis and Optimization of the Frequency Selectivity for the Short-wave Radio Station Receiver System

2007 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2007
In this paper, the model of an existing superheterodyne receiver system with poor performance is built and solved in order to depict the frequency selectivity curve of the entire receiver system. In addition, the main intermodulation products which will bring strong power and fall into the actual receiving channels are theoretically predicted ...

Analysis of Passive Interference on Radio Station from UHVDC Power Transmission Lines in Short-wave Frequency

2007 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2007
The paper analyses passive interference on radio station from the +800kV UHV power transmission lines because of electromagnetic scattering on the UHV power transmission lines, overhead ground and iron tower caused by external electromagnetic field, with the moment method NEC programming based on wire antenna calculation theory. The conclusion has been

Radiation Measurements of a Short-Wave Directive Antenna at the Nauen High Power Radio Station

Proceedings of the IRE, 1931
This paper is a report on the experimental investigation of the, raidiation of a short-wave directive antenna at Nauen. Measurements were made on the ground and also in the air, using an airplane. The results, plotted in the form of radiation characteristic curves, were compared with calculated radiation characteristics.

Feasibility study on detecting short wave radio stations on the powerlines for dynamic PSD reduction as method for cognitive PLC

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Power Line Communications and Its Applications, 2011
This paper compares different detection methods of radio broadcast frequencies to reduce dynamic PSD. It starts with spectrum analyzer-based measurements on the power lines to get experience with the ingress caused by the radio stations. Then a short wave radio detector algorithm is presented.
