A Study of Symmetrical and Unsymmetrical Short Circuit Fault Analyses in Power Systems

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2019
In this study, thecommon symmetrical and unsymmetrical short circuit faults in power systems areanalyzed detailed. Unlike the similar studies in the literature, metallic faultconditions for unsymmetrical faults are also given in the paper additionally ...

Investigation on safe-operating-area degradation and failure modes of SiC MOSFETs under repetitive short-circuit conditions

open access: yesPower Electronic Devices and Components, 2023
The safe operating area is an operating area with high reliability for SiC MOSFET, and its degradation may cause power electronic system failure. The safe-operating-area degradation and the failure modes of 1200 V/66A SiC MOSFET caused by repetitive ...

Active Reduction of Short-Circuit Current in Power Distribution Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
In this paper, a new concept of short-circuit current (SCC) reduction for power distribution systems is presented and analyzed. Conventional fault current limiters (FCLs) are connected in series with a circuit breaker (CB) that is required to limit the ...

Shafting Torsional Vibration Analysis of 1000 MW Unit under Electrical Short-Circuit Fault

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Taking a 1000 MW turbine generator as the research object, the short-circuit fault in electrical disturbance is analyzed. Since it is very difficult to carry out fault analysis experiments and research on actual systems, simulation analysis is one of the

An independent axiomatisation for free short-circuit logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Short-circuit evaluation denotes the semantics of propositional connectives in which the second argument is evaluated only if the first argument does not suffice to determine the value of the expression.

Characteristics of Short-Circuit Current in Distribution Network with Doubly-Fed Wind Power System

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao, 2023
The doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) is connected to the distribution network as a distributed power source, which turns a radial single power supply system into a dual power supply system and changes the topology of the distribution network. When a

Short-Circuiting Epiblast Development [PDF]

open access: yesCell Stem Cell, 2007
Although human and mouse embryonic stem cells share many characteristics, their behaviors are not identical. Two recent papers describe the derivation of stem cell lines from mouse epiblast that may provide an explanation for the unique character of human embryonic stem cells.

Optimal Short-Circuit Resilient Formulas

open access: yesJournal of the ACM, 2022
We consider fault-tolerant boolean formulas in which the output of a faulty gate is short-circuited to one of the gate’s inputs. A recent result by Kalai et al. [FOCS 2012] converts any boolean formula into a resilient formula of polynomial size that works correctly if less than 1/6 of the gates (on every input-to-output path) are faulty.
