Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Short circuit current of synchronous generator

open access: yes, 2014
The thesis deals with the problematics of short-circuit current of synchronous machine. The first section focuses on the theoretical process of short-circuit current of synchronous machine and describes how this transient process changes throughout it's ...

Bidirectional Short-Circuit Current Blocker for DC Microgrid Based on Solid-State Circuit Breaker

open access: yes, 2020
In order to solve the imminent problem in that the traditional protection strategy cannot meet time requirements, together with the fact that the rotational inertia of a DC microgrid is small and short-circuit fault develops rapidly, a bidirectional ...

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Inter-Turn Short Circuit Detection Based on Modulation Signal Bispectrum Analysis of Motor Current Signals

open access: yes, 2013
Motor current signature analysis (MCSA) is a common practice in industry for finding motor faults. However, because of small modulations caused by faults and high noise contamination, it is difficult to quantify the modulation in measured signals which ...

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Worst Asymmetrical Short-Circuit Current

open access: yes, 2010
In a typical power plant, the production scenario and the short-circuit time were found for the worst asymmetrical short-circuit current. Then, a sensitivity analysis on the missing generator values was realized in order to minimize the uncertainty of ...

Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...
