Magnetohydrodynamics Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer over a Permeable Shrinking Sheet with Joule dissipation: Analytical Approach [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2020
A laminar, two dimensional, steady boundary layer Newtonian conducting fluid flow passes over a permeable shrinking sheet in the presence of a uniform magnetic field is investigated.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Similarity solutions for the stagnation-point flow and heat transfer over a nonlinearly stretching/shrinking sheet [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents a numerical analysis of a stagnation-point flow towards a nonlinearly stretching/shrinking sheet immersed in a viscous fluid. The stretching/shrinking velocity and the external flow velocity impinges normal to the stretching/shrinking

Analysis of nanofluid flow past a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems - B, 2020
The paper is devoted to the boundary value problem \[ f'''+f f'' -f'^2=0,\quad f(0)=S,\, f'(0)=\lambda,\quad f'(+\infty)=0. \] This boundary value problem arises in a model of the flow of a nanofluid past a heated, permeable sheet that can either stretch or shrink.

Stabilization of Miscible Aqueous Phases via Diffusion‐Controlled Multifunctional Nanoparticle‐Ligand Complexation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

On the effect of chemical reaction, heat and mass transfer on nonlinear MHD boundary layer past a porous shrinking sheet with suction [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics, 2009
This work is concerned with magnetohydrodynamic viscous flow due to a shrinking sheet in the presence of suction. The cases of two dimensional and axisymmetric shrinking are discussed.

Unsteady shrinking sheet with mass transfer in a rotating fluid [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2011
AbstractIn this paper, the problem of unsteady flow induced by a shrinking sheet with mass transfer in a rotating fluid is studied. The transformed boundary layer equations are solved numerically by an implicit finite‐difference scheme known as the Keller‐box method.

Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).
