Grid-Connected Shunt Active Photovoltaic Filter

2020 IEEE 29th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2020
In this work, that partially validates an obtained patent [18], a structure of grid-connected three-phase three-wire shunt active filter with photovoltaic generator (SAF/PVG), without DC/DC converter, is proposed to compensate the electrical grids from perturbations (like harmonics, reactive power, unbalance, etc.), while injecting to the loads/grid ...

Direct power control of shunt active filter

2007 European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications, 2007
This paper presents a new control method entitled direct power control (DPC) for shunt active power filtering, which is applied to eliminate line current harmonics and compensate reactive power. Its main goal is to rebuild active and reactive powers to be compared to references values using hysteresis control.

Seven-level shunt active power filter

2004 11th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (IEEE Cat. No.04EX951), 2005
In this work, the seven-level cascaded type inverter is used as a shunt active power filter to exploit multilevel inverter advantages. The capacitor voltage control technique used as a harmonic current extraction method for the two-level inverter is extended to the seven-level shunt active power filter.

Shunt active filters controller with new saturation strategy

30th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2004. IECON 2004, 2005
The effects of current limitation and control voltage saturation in shunt active filters (SAF) are discussed in the paper. Starting from the solution proposed, a novel strategy is proposed to guarantee limitation of the DC-link voltage and good current control even when saturations occur.
