Synergistic Passivation of Bulk and Heterojunction Defects via Dual‐Functioned Interlayer Treatment for High‐Efficiency Sb2(S,Se)3 Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a dual‐function KI treatment that simultaneously enhances Sb2(S,Se)3 absorber quality and CdS heterojunction properties. Iodide diffusion passivates bulk defects while improving crystallization and modifies the ETL's band alignment. The resulting spike‐like interface suppresses recombination, achieving a 10.06% PCE.

Comparison of the accuracy and proximal shunt failure rate of freehand placement versus intraoperative guidance in parietooccipital ventricular catheter placement.

open access: yesNeurosurgical Focus, 2016
OBJECTIVE The aim of this paper is to compare the accuracy of the freehand technique versus the use of intraoperative guidance (either ultrasound guidance or frameless stereotaxy) for placement of parietooccipital ventricular catheters and to determine ...

Efficacy of Sequential Hepatic Vein Embolization Following Portal Vein Embolization in Promoting Regeneration of Liver Volume and Function Before Right‐Sided Major Hepatectomy

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Sequential hepatic vein embolization (HVE) following portal vein embolization (PVE) significantly improves both the volume and function of the future remnant liver (FRL) compared to PVE alone. In this study, the FRL regeneration rates for volume and function were markedly higher and faster in the PVE–HVE group, with no differences in surgical outcomes ...

Can ankle-brachial index be used as a predictor for carotid artery shunt application during carotid endarterectomy?

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Vascular Surgery, 2021
Objectives: This study aims to investigate the possible relationship between low ankle-brachial index (ABI) and shunt requirement during carotid endarterectomy (CEA) operations.

Essential Updates 2024/2025: History, Pathogenesis, Definition, Prevention, and Management of Small‐for‐Size Syndrome in Living‐Donor Liver Transplantation

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although living‐donor liver transplantation (LDLT) has become the standard treatment for end‐stage liver disease, one of its major challenges is small‐for‐size syndrome (SFSS). SFSS is characterized by severe icterus and intractable ascites, although the severity of the condition can vary.

The Impact of Atrial Left-to-Right Shunt on Pulmonary Hypertension in Preterm Infants with Moderate or Severe Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia

open access: yesPediatrics and Neonatology, 2015
Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)-associated pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a well-known complication of prematurity; however, the additional impact of a left-to-right interatrial shunt on this condition remains poorly understood.

Poland Anomaly and Atretic Cephalocele in the Same Child: Coincidence or Association?

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Poland Anomaly is a rare congenital disorder typically characterized by hypoplasia or agenesis of pectoral muscle with or without ipsilateral limb hypoplasia. The association of central nervous system malformation with Poland Anomaly has been rarely reported and includes craniofacial dysplasia, microcephaly, and Dandy‐Walker malformation ...

Role of radiological parameters in predicting overall shunt outcome after ventriculoperitoneal shunt insertion in pediatric patients with obstructive hydrocephalus.

open access: yesNeurosurgical Focus, 2016
OBJECTIVE Despite significant advances in the medical field and shunt technology, shunt malfunction remains a nightmare of pediatric neurosurgeons. In this setting, the ability to preoperatively predict the probability of shunt malfunction is quite ...
