A Unified Whole Lung PBK Model for Inhalational Uptake of Gases and Aerosols in Men

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Assessing the risk or benefit of an inhaled substance is challenging due to the variety of forms it can take (gas, vapor, particle, or droplet) and the complex biological processes involved in its uptake and retention. Physiologically based kinetic (PBK) models offer an alternative to in vivo experiments.

Robust Passivation of Perovskite Using Rubidium Iodide for Efficient Photovoltaic Applications under Various Illumination Environments

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
A robust defect passivation strategy for perovskite films using rubidium iodide (RbI) is reported. The RbI treatment simultaneously mitigates defects across the buried interface, within the bulk, and on the surface of perovskite films. This enhances crystallinity, suppresses ion migration, and reduces phase segregation.

Broken Structural Symmetry in Terahertz Detectors: Physical Mechanisms, Device Design, and Recent Advances

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
Breaking the structural symmetry of devices is a crucial design strategy that endows terahertz (THz) detectors with novel operating mechanisms and unique characteristics. This study provides an in‐depth discussion on symmetry‐breaking‐induced phenomena, novel asymmetric structures, and dominant detection mechanisms.

Study on the Vocal Fold Movement Characteristics of Canine Models With Nerve Paralysis Caused by Different Site Injuries

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the specific effects of unilateral injuries to the vagus nerve (VN), recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN), and superior laryngeal nerve (SLN) on the vocal fold movement characteristics, and investigate the regulation pattern of current intensity on the vocal fold movement after the injuries.
