An INS‐1 832/13 𝛽‐Cell Proteome Highlights the Rapid Regulation of Fatty Acid Biosynthesis in Glucose‐Stimulated Insulin Secretion

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pancreatic beta cells secrete insulin in response to rising glucose levels, a process known as glucose‐stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS). Here, we acquire proteomes of rat pancreatic INS‐1 832/13 beta cells that were short‐term stimulated with 11 different glucose concentrations from 0 to 20 mM, quantifying the response of 3703 proteins ...

Effects of Shunt Position on the Prognosis of Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt in Patients With Cirrhotic Esophagogastric Variceal Bleeding

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
The challenge of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) remains the puncture of the portal vein. Establishing an optimal shunt position in the left branch of the portal vein would be a better option for reducing the risk of postoperative hepatic encephalopathy and stent dysfunction.

Sonographic Imaging of the Superficial Radial Nerve and its Branches: A Pictorial Review

open access: yesSonography, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Entrapment of the superficial radial nerve (SRN) can be a source of radial wrist, dorsal hand, and thumb pain which can be challenging to clinically differentiate from other pathological entities. Ultrasound allows direct visualization of the SRN and its branches as well as the assessment of the site, extent, and type of nerve injury or ...

Robust Passivation of Perovskite Using Rubidium Iodide for Efficient Photovoltaic Applications under Various Illumination Environments

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
A robust defect passivation strategy for perovskite films using rubidium iodide (RbI) is reported. The RbI treatment simultaneously mitigates defects across the buried interface, within the bulk, and on the surface of perovskite films. This enhances crystallinity, suppresses ion migration, and reduces phase segregation.
