Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Impact of cerebrospinal fluid shunting for idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus on the amyloid cascade. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
The aim of this study was to determine whether the improvement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow dynamics by CSF shunting, can suppress the oligomerization of amyloid β-peptide (Aβ), by measuring the levels of Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related proteins in

Hump Yard Track Allocation with Temporary Car Storage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In rail freight operation, freight cars need to be separated and reformed into new trains at hump yards. The classification procedure is complex and hump yards constitute bottlenecks in the rail freight network, often causing outbound trains to be ...

Spin precession and spin Hall effect in monolayer graphene/Pt nanostructures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Spin Hall effects have surged as promising phenomena for spin logics operations without ferromagnets. However, the magnitude of the detected electric signals at room temperature in metallic systems has been so far underwhelming.

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

The Influence of Annealing on the Sb Layer in the Synthesis of [001]‐Oriented Sb2Se3 Film for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Gas Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
[001]‐oriented Sb2Se3 film with improved crystallinity and adjusted composition is achieved via a new thermal treatment approach consisting of preliminary annealing of the Sb layer before its selenization. The findings of this work demonstrate enhanced charge carriers' transportation, a stable performance, and an improvement of H2 generation from ...
