Dynamic 320-Section CT Angiography in Cranial Arteriovenous Shunting Lesions

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Neuroradiology, 2010
SUMMARY: Novel 320-section CT scanning equipment enables dynamic noninvasive angiographic imaging of the entire cranial vasculature (4D-CTA). We describe this technique and demonstrate its potential in arteriovenous shunting lesions.

Tri‐System Interlocking Top‐Encased Structures Enabled Highly Stable Tin‐Lead Perovskite Photodetection Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A unique tri‐system interlocking top‐encased structure is formed for tin‐lead perovskites by the introduction of novel CGA additive. The fabricated tin‐lead perovskite NIR photodetector shows an outstanding specific detectivity of 2 × 1013 Jones at 940 nm, and the integrated 64 × 64 array demonstrates clear and accurate imaging abilities.

3D Printing of Highly Electrically Conductive Zinc for Sustainable Electronics Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
A 3D printable zinc ink system with active zinc particles in a shellac matrix is demonstrated. The results show high conductivity, stable performance of printed structures under varying humidity conditions, and promising application in disposable water‐activated batteries. This technology combining digital material assembly, reliable operation, and non‐

Objective Quantification of Bilateral Bubble Contrast Echocardiography Correlates with Systemic Oxygenation in Patients with Single Ventricle Circulation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease
Bubble contrast echocardiography is commonly used to diagnose pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) in single ventricle congenital heart disease (CHD), yet previous studies inconsistently report a correlation between bubble echoes and oxygenation.

Portosystemic shunting and persistent fetal vascular structures in aryl hydrocarbon receptor-deficient mice.

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 2000
A physiological examination of mice harboring a null allele at the aryl hydrocarbon (Ah) locus revealed that the encoded aryl hydrocarbon receptor plays a role in the resolution of fetal vascular structures during development.

Choroid Plexus Fibroblast–ILC2 Niche Promotes Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis after Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) in the choroid plexus (ChP) following traumatic brain injury (TBI). ILC2 accumulation alleviates immune infiltration, preserves hippocampal integrity, and improves sensory‐motor and memory functions.

Nrf2 Drives Epigenetic Reprogramming and Acts as the Master Regulator of KLF4 Expression and Activity in Arsenic‐Induced Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nrf2 isn't just a protector—it's a driver of cancer stemness. The study uncovers how arsenic‐activated Nrf2 directly upregulates KLF4, a key pluripotency factor, fueling oncogenic reprogramming. Through enhancer activation and self‐reinforcing loop, Nrf2 and KLF4 co‐opt gene networks linked to epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition and tumor growth ...

Minimally Invasive Chemical Biopsy Needle with Self‐Wettable Extraction Phase For In Vivo Tissue Sampling During Medical Procedures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new tissue sampling device using an acupuncture needle with bio‐compatible extraction sorbents in the recessed section is developed. The coating material using self‐wettable particles doesn't require solvent activation after sterilization. This device is applied for the anti‐cancer drug concentration monitoring during the in vivo lung perfusion ...

Efficacy of ventriculoperitoneal shunting in patients with cryptococcal meningitis with intracranial hypertension

open access: yesInternational Journal of Infectious Diseases, 2019
Background: Ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunting in cryptococcal meningitis (CM) patients with high intracranial pressure (ICP) has been studied extensively. Methods: A total of 74 CM patients with ICP were identified, including 27 patients with or without

Coactosin‐Like Protein Reduces Prostaglandin D2 Production in Alveolar Macrophages and Alleviates Allergic Airway Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coactosin‐like protein inhibits prostaglandin D₂ (PGD2) secretion by modulating alveolar macrophage polarization, thereby suppressing activation of the PGD2 receptor CRTH2 in Th2‐associated immune cells and alleviating allergic airway inflammation.
