Vectors and Vector‐Borne Diseases: Biology, Epidemiology and Integrated Control Strategies
ABSTRACT Vector‐Borne Diseases (VBDs), transmitted by arthropods such as mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and sandflies, represent a significant threat to global health. These diseases can be caused by a variety of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and helminths.

Our study focused on quantifying available forage and the conditions for avoiding predation provided within the home ranges of Siberian roe deer (Capreolus pygargus). We conducted transect surveys in both winter and summer–autumn home ranges of the Siberian roe deer in the Tieli Forestry Bureau of the Lesser Xing’an Mountains.

The Reasons for The Mass Mortality of Siberian Roe Deer in The Wintering Period in Western Siberia
The article presents the analysis of the limiting environmental factors that determine the dynamics of the roe deer population in Western Siberia. The regularities of the extreme effect of winter anomalies, in particular, high snow, on the organisms of Siberian roe deer have been determined. The structure of winter nutrition and behavioral reactions of

Tick‐Borne Viruses in Finland: Public Health Risks, Interventions and Research Insights
ABSTRACT Ticks are obligate haematophagous arthropods that serve as vectors for diverse pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and protozoa. In Finland, the two primary tick species, Ixodes ricinus (castor bean tick) and Ixodes persulcatus (taiga tick), have been identified in the transmission of tick‐borne viruses (TBV), notably tick‐borne ...

Raccoon dogs Nyctereutes procyonoides are on the List of National Key Protected Wild Animals as Grade II in China; research on their wild populations is limited despite their conservation significance. In this context, we focused on seasonal activity changes from autumn to winter and their relationship to environmental and mammalian factors.

We sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Siberian Roe Deer, Capreolus pygargus, in China by the shotgun genome-skimming methods. The mitogenome of C. pygargus is totally 16,353 bp in length and contains 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs)
