Evidence From Microscopy and U–Pb Geochronology as a Clue to the Influence of the Cretaceous Magmatism in the Diagenesis of Pre‐Salt Carbonate Reservoirs in the Santos Basin (Brazil)
Geological Journal, Volume 61, Issue 7, Page 1976-2001, July 2026.Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.Marco António Ruivo de Castro e Brito, Cristiano Leite Sombra, Davy Raeder Brandão, Cleverson Guizan Silva, Sidney Luiz de Matos Mello, Eugênio Vaz dos Santos Neto, Rui Jorge Fernandes Baptista, Ramsés Capilla, Luiz Antônio Pierantoni Gambôa +8 morewiley +1 more sourceCorrelative Imaging Captures a Fusion Mechanism as the Origin of Single Crystals with Multidomain Appearance
Israel Journal of Chemistry, Volume 66, Issue 4, July 2026.Nonclassical crystal growth via particle attachment and fusion yields metal–organic framework crystals with multidomain morphologies while retaining single crystallinity. Amorphous particles attach at crystal edges, crystallize, and align with the lattice, driving anisotropic growth, curved surfaces, and cavities.Hadar Nasi, Maria Chiara di Gregorio, Ifat Kaplan‐Ashiri, Katya Rechav, Lothar Houben, Vlad Brumfeld, Irit Rosenhek-Goldian, Sidney R. JACCP: JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CLINICAL PHARMACY, Volume 9, Issue 7, July 2026.ABSTRACT Background
Critical care pharmacists (CCPs) reduce adverse drug events (ADEs) and mortality in the intensive care unit (ICU). Board certification is the established professional standard for CCPs, but its impact on ICU patient outcomes, including its relationship between CCP characteristics and workload, remains unclear.Susan E. JIMD Reports, Volume 67, Issue 4, July 2026.ABSTRACT
Biallelic pathogenic variants in PNPT1 cause combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 13 (COXPD13) (MIM #614932), linking mitochondrial dysfunction to type I interferon (IFN) activation through cytosolic leakage of mitochondrial double‐stranded RNA (mt‐dsRNA).Dan Ross Brooks, Hyun Yong Koh, Taylor Martin Kerrins, Steven Lang, Emily Bland, Rui Yang, Sarah Kogan Nicholas, Stephanie Jean Sikkink, Stephen Kralik, Christine Eng, Chaya Nautiyal Murali, Seema Lalani, Pilar Lenglet Magoulas, Lisa Emrick, Kristen Sydney Fisher, Fernando Scaglia +15 morewiley +1 more sourceMicroemulsion‐Based Drilling Fluids Incorporating Seashell Residue Powder: A Sustainable Approach to Fluid Loss Control
Journal of Surfactants and Detergents, Volume 29, Issue 4, Page 537-547, July 2026.Two microemulsion‐based drilling fluids incorporating SSRP were formulated using pine oil, the nonionic surfactant Alkonat L100W, and a glycerol/water solution. The results provide valuable insights into how surfactant‐assisted microemulsion systems can be engineered to enhance the performance and eco‐efficiency of drilling fluids.Luara Ribeiro Viana, Raphael Ribeiro da Silva, João Pedro Gonçalves de Souza Soares, José Cavalcante de Queiroz Neto, Maria Eduarda Araújo Pessoa, Rafael Peixoto Alves, Fabiola Dias da Silva Curbelo +6 morewiley +1 more source
