Side-Channel Analysis for Detecting Protocol Tunneling

open access: yesAdvances in Internet of Things, 2011
Protocol tunneling is widely used to add security and/or privacy to Internet applications. Recent research has exposed side channel vulnerabilities that leak information about tunneled protocols. We first discuss the timing side channels that have been found in protocol tunneling tools.

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

CPSGD: A Novel Optimization Algorithm and Its Application in Side-Channel Analysis

open access: yesMathematics
In recent years, side-channel analysis based on deep learning has garnered significant attention from researchers. A pivotal reason for this lies in the fact that deep learning-based side-channel analysis requires minimal preprocessing of side-channel ...

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

T1 Over Squared Proton Density Ratio to Characterize Multiple Sclerosis Lesions

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Differentiating remyelinated from demyelinated lesions in MS remains challenging without histological confirmation. This study introduces the T1‐to‐PD2 ratio (TPR) imaging approach and evaluates its ability to characterize MS lesions alongside other quantitative MRI (qMRI) metrics. Methods Thirty individuals with MS (mean age: 47.5 ±

Protection of Oscillator-Based PUFs against Side Channel Analyses by Random Interruption

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems
Oscillation-based physical unclonable functions (PUFs) are known to be sensitive to power trace side channel analyses (SCAs). Although previous work investigated on countermeasures, these required significant additional amount of hardware or were just ...

Side channel analysis and countermeasures.

open access: yes, 2012
This thesis deals with side channel attacks against hardware implementations of cryp- tographic algorithms. Studies conducted in this document are therefore in place where an adversary has access to noisy observations of intermediate results of a cryptographic computation.
