Sidelobe suppression for accelerating beams
Although the control of trajectory, amplitude and beam-width in accelerating beams have been extensively investigated, sidelobes manipulation of such beams, which is required in many applications, has been surprisingly under-researched. This paper presents an approach for the generating of accelerating beams with significantly reduced sidelobes.

Sidelobe suppression in correlated multipath estimates [PDF]
Some environments cause a propagating signal to split along several different paths. When such multipath propagation occurs, the covariance among signals traveling along rays emanating from a common source is expected to be larger than the covariance between signals generated by independent sources.

Multi-Objective Synthesis of Filtering Dipole Array Based on Tuning-Space Mapping [PDF]
In the paper, we apply tuning-space mapping to multi-objective synthesis of a filtering antenna. The antenna is going to be implemented as a planar dipole array with serial feeding.

Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Gaussian-shaped Optical Frequency Comb Generation for Microwave Photonic Filtering [PDF]
Using only electro-optic modulators, we generate a 41-line 10-GHz Gaussian-shaped optical frequency comb. We use this comb to demonstrate apodized microwave photonic filters with greater than 43-dB sidelobe suppression without the need for a pulse shaper.

Power spectrum characterization of systematic coded UW-OFDM systems [PDF]
Unique word (UW)-OFDM is a newly proposed multicarrier technique that has shown to outperform cyclic prefix (CP)-OFDM in fading channels. Until now, the spectrum of UW-OFDM is not thoroughly investigated. In this paper, we derive an analytical expression

A probabilistic framework based on random time‐space coding metasurfaces enables control of the spatial distribution of electromagnetic fields temporal statistics. By tailoring the marginal and joint distributions of random codes, electromagnetic fields with desired mean and variance patterns are realized, enabling simultaneous transmission and jamming.

This work demonstrates a receiver‐transmitter‐integrated metasurface that decomposes an incident wave into orthogonal components and routes them into separate channels. Inspired by a “Wheel‐of‐Fortune” mechanism, it enables independent control over the amplitude, phase, and polarization of the transmitted wave.

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.
