Cobalt Single‐Atom Nanozyme for Enhanced Intestinal Radioprotection and Tumor Radiosensitization via Bidirectional ROS Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Orally administered, pH‐responsive Co‐SAN exerts dual functions: in the alkaline intestinal milieu, it scavenges reactive oxygen species (ROS) and suppresses the PI3K/AKT pathway and NETs formation, thus providing radioprotection; whereas in the acidic tumor microenvironment, it generates ROS and alleviates hypoxia, thereby enhancing radiosensitization.

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Determination of Sight Distance on a Combined Crest and Circular Curve in a Three Dimensional Space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Transportation Science and Technology, 2012
The sight distance (SD) on a two-dimensional (2-d) curve, namely, a vertical curve or a horizontal curve, has been well understood and documented for roadway geometric design in literature.

Incorporating Uncertainty into the Estimation of the Passing Sight Distance Requirements

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, 2007
Passing sight distance (PSD) is provided to ensure the safety of passing maneuvers on 2-lane, 2-way roads. Many random variables determine the minimum length required for a safe passing maneuver. Current PSD design practices replace these random variables by single-value means in the calculation process, disregarding their inherent variations, which ...

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

Redesigning Interlayers for Anode‐Free Batteries: Harnessing Continuity and Metal Inventory

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Interlayers for anode‐free batteries must provide continuous interfacial coverage while remaining thin enough to preserve the finite cathode‐derived active‐metal inventory. This Perspective couples thin‐film closure with stoichiometric active‐metal consumption to reveal practical design windows across chemistry, substrate roughness, cathode loading ...

Deriving Sight Distance on a Compound Sag and Circular Curve in a Three Dimensional Space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Transportation Science and Technology, 2012
Insufficient roadway sight distance (SD) may become a contribution factor to traffic collisions or other unsafe traffic maneuvers. The sight distance (SD) for a two-dimensional (2-d) sag or circular curve has been addressed in detail in various traffic ...
