The geometry of gauged (super)conformal mechanics
Motivated by recently explored examples, we undertake a systematic study of conformal invariance in one-dimensional sigma models where an isometry group has been gauged.

Slowdown in branching Brownian motion with inhomogeneous variance [PDF]
We consider a model of Branching Brownian Motion with time-inhomogeneous variance of the form \sigma(t/T), where \sigma is a strictly decreasing function. Fang and Zeitouni (2012) showed that the maximal particle's position M_T is such that M_T-v_\sigma T is negative of order T^{-1/3}, where v_\sigma is the integral of the function \sigma over the ...

We present the cellular transcription‐coupled Flp‐nick system allowing the introduction of a Top1‐mimicking cleavage complex (Flpcc) at a Flp recognition target site within a controllable LacZ gene. LacZ transcription leads to the collision of RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) with Flpcc, and this causes RNAPII stalling, ubiquitination, and degradation.

Local β-deformations and Yang-Baxter sigma model
Homogeneous Yang-Baxter (YB) deformation of AdS5 × S5 superstring is revisited. We calculate the YB sigma model action up to quadratic order in fermions and show that homogeneous YB deformations are equivalent to β-deformations of the AdS5 ×S5 background

Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

Peculiarities of beta functions in sigma models
In this paper we consider perturbation theory in generic two-dimensional sigma models in the so-called first-order formalism, using the coordinate regularization approach. Our goal is to analyze the first-order formalism in application to β functions and

Observational constraints on unified dark matter including Hubble parameter data [PDF]
We constrain a unified dark matter (UDM) model from the latest observational data. This model assumes that the dark sector is degenerate. Dark energy and dark matter are the same component. It can be described by an affine equation of state $P_X= p_0 +\alpha \rho_X$.

Grassmannian Sigma - Models [PDF]
We study solutions of Grassmannian sigma-model both in finite-dimensional and infinite-dimensional settings. Mathematically, such solutions are described by harmonic maps from the Riemann sphere $\mathbb C\mathbb P^1$ or, more generally, compact Riemann surfaces to Grassmannians.

Noncommutative linear sigma models [PDF]
We examine noncommutative linear sigma models with U(N) global symmetry groups at the one-loop quantum level, and contrast the results with our previous study of the noncommutative O(N) linear sigma models where we have shown that Nambu-Goldstone symmetry realization is inconsistent with continuum renormalization.

We achieved cytoplasmic delivery of non‐cell‐penetrating IgGs by grafting a single functional complementarity‐determining region 1 (CDR1) from the light chain variable region (VL) of the cell‐internalizable 3D8 antibody. The engineered IgG acquired cell‐penetrating ability while maintaining antigen affinity, highlighting CDR1 grafting as a promising ...
