INTEGRABLE SIGMA MODELS

International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1991
Integrability of sigma models is investigated in arbitrary dimensions. The conditions of the integrability are found and the corresponding linear eigenvalue equations are given. Some new classes of classically integrable sigma models are found in two and higher dimensions containing all the known models.

Stochastic Poisson-Sigma model

ANNALI SCUOLA NORMALE SUPERIORE - CLASSE DI SCIENZE, 2009
Summary: We produce a stochastic regularization of the Poisson-Sigma model of Cattaneo-Felder, which is an analogue regularization of Klauder's stochastic regularization of the Hamiltonian path integral [\textit{J. R. Klauder, S.V. Shabanov}, Mathematical methods of quantum physics (Jagna, 1998), 117--130, Gordon and Breach, Amsterdam (1999; Zbl 1170 ...

Geometric \(\sigma\)-models

1998
Summary: A class of nonlinear \(\sigma\)-models coupled to gravity is defined by identifying the coordinates of spacetime with the components of a set of scalar fields. The obtained theories have purely geometric character and necessarily possess soliton solutions with topologically nontrivial scalar sectors.
