BLADDER REPLACEMENT WITH SIGMOID COLON FOR BLADDER CANCER
From 1972 to 1989, 21 patients underwent bladder replacement with sigmoid colon after cystectomy for bladder cancer. A portion of sigmoid colon (about 15 to 20 cm) was isolated and anastomosed to the urethral stump. Then the ureters were implanted in the sigmoid colon via submucosal tunnels.

Abstract Brain tumour segmentation employing MRI images is important for disease diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning. Till now, many encoder‐decoder architectures have been developed for this purpose, with U‐Net being the most extensively utilised. However, these architectures require a lot of parameters to train and have a semantic gap. Some

Rectal metastasis of sigmoid colon cancer
A 73-year-old man underwent a stage Ⅱ sigmoid colon cancer resection. Careful monitoring was undertaken, and no evidence of metastasis or anastomotic recurrence was noted until 51 months later. Anal examination revealed a pink, firm perianal tumor histologically identified as a metastasis of the colon adenocarcinoma.

Abstract Background Laparoscopic transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) has been widely adopted globally. Short‐ and long‐term outcomes vary across different localities, especially during the learning phase. Method and patient The first 100 cases of TaTME performed by two experienced colorectal surgeons between 2015 and 2019 were reviewed. The aim

Targeting hexokinase 2 to induce breast cancer cell senescence
Background and Purpose Hexokinase 2 (HK2) is a key enzyme linked to high tumour cell proliferation. Its inhibitors such as 3‐bromopyruvic acid (3‐BP) induce cancer cell death, highlighting HK2 modulation as potential anti‐cancer treatment. However, standard chemotherapies often cause the emergence of senescent cancer cells, which goes along with cell ...

A Metastatic Sigmoid Colon Cancer from Ovarian Cancer.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) shows high molecular heterogeneity, yet single‐cell data from Japanese patients are limited. We performed scRNA‐seq on tumors and adjacent normal tissues from four Japanese CRC patients and identified a shared malignant cell cluster with high KCNQ1OT1 expression and reduced RASSF6 levels.
