Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Sound Signal Processing

Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1984
In the CHORIMAC-12, the French device, the whole speech information despite its redundancy is transmitted to the few cochlear nerve fibers that are still present. Only loud speech intensities between 40 db and 100 db are introduced in a filter battery which gives out the frequency information in 12 channels including the 100-6000 Hz.

AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSING

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2009
An audio system for processing two channels of audio input to provide more than two output channels. The input may be conventional stereo material or compressed audio signal data. The audio processing includes separating the input signals into frequency bands and processing the frequency bands according to processes which may differ from band to band ...
