On the reconstruction of derivative sampling method of band-limited signal

open access: yes, 2017
[[abstract]]In this paper, the reconstruction methods of the derivative sampling methods of bandlimited signals are presented. First, the conventional Nyquist uniform sampling method and the derivative sampling method are reviewed briefly.

Behavior of Formula for Spectrum of Sampled Signal when Sampling Period Tends to Zero [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav
This paper is devoted to consideration of behaviour of two formulas used in the literature to describe the spectra of sampled signals in the case of value of the sampling period going to zero. It is shown here that they do not lead to the same result, as

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Basic Send-on-Delta Sampling for Signal Tracking-Error Reduction

open access: yesSensors, 2017
This paper investigates the dynamic selection of an appropriate threshold for basic Send-on-Delta (SoD) sampling strategies, given an available transmission rate to reduce the signal tracking-error.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Band-Pass Sampling in High-Order BOC Signal Acquisition

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
The binary offset carrier (BOC) modulation, which has been adopted in modern global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), provides a higher spectral compatibility with BPSK signals, and better tracking performance.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...
